Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to share information about updates to our virtual desktop service, Skybox, that will be implemented on Friday, September 7 at 10:00 pm.
ITS will upgrade the service to a Windows 10 64-bit operating system. This change enables ITS to update software installations and provide our community with the latest versions available.
We are also standardizing around the name AnyWare for our virtualization services. To bring the focus on the experience being delivered, what was formerly UConn AnyWare will be called 'AnyWare Apps' and SkyBox will be renamed 'AnyWare Desktop'.
After 10:00 pm both of these changes will be apparent when people login to the service. Service will not be interrupted during the update.
