2007 Orientation Information
We would like to invite anyone interested to the Physics
TA Orientation on August 25th, 2007. All new graduate students must
attend this training session. Anyone looking for additional support
with teaching duties is welcome to join us too. The goals of the
orientation, as we see it:
- Introduce the Physics Lab Office and our services.
- Get to know some of the experienced grads who are resources
in the Department.
- Familiarize new grads with the technology we use in the labs.
- Establish a framework for working within the Department as a
teaching assistant.
- Demonstrate the pedagogical approach to the Physics labs.
- Provide additional support to new grads - we know this can be
a bit overwhelming.
- Have a good time, since we have to be here on a Saturday.
