Frequently
Asked Questions
This portion of the site is continuously updated
as more teachers contact us with questions. If you have a question
that doesn't appear here, please contact
us.
Q: When can I officially register?
A: Registration packages have been mailed for the 2008 Olympiad. If you would like to register but have not received anything in the mail, please visit our Registration page. If you would like to be added to our email and/or snail
mail mailing list, please contact us.
Q: How many students can I bring?
A: For now, we have put a limit on 10 students maximum,
for two teams of 5. Your teams can have between 3 and 5 students.
We are hoping to be able to accommodate 30 teams this year, so
hopefully we will be able to expand the nubmer of teams per school.
Q: Is there a cost attached?
A: There is no registration fee to participate in
this event. We provide the equipment and lunch, and we ask participating
schools to provide their own transportation.
Q: Do my students need to have a strong Physics background?
A: Absolutely not. We expect that participating
students will have different backgrounds and Physics experiences.
Common sense and creativity are as important, if not more.
Q: Can I rename my teams?
A: Of course! Just let us know at least a couple of days before the event so we can have name tags and team rosters ready. Contact us for any changes to your team registrations.
Q: What if I don't know the names of all of the kids that will be coming? Can I still register?
A: Of course! In fact, we encourage you to register as soon as possible to make sure your spot is saved. You can just let us know the names of the participating students and update any changes by just contacting us after you're officially registered.
