Physics Learning Resources Center
The Physics Learning
Resource Center is a service provided by the Physics Department
to students seeking help in their studies or wishing to deepen their
understanding of physics. The center is located in room P207-C in the
Physics Building (Gant Complex).
For the Spring 2006 semester PLRC is open 9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.
Physics Learning Resources Center offers:
a PLRC staff member who can assist you in working problems or mastering difficult concepts. This staff member is generally an upper-level physics student who was not so long ago at the same stage as you are at present, and is able to provide guidance.
other students who are working as hard as you are on their physics course. Discovering the answers together is often a more effective learning strategy than working alone, especially when there is an expert available to keep you on track.
several PC workstations loaded with useful physics software that provide interactive lessons on the major subjects of introductory physics, featuring animations of actual experiments and analysis of the results.
You can send e-mails regarding the Resource Center to graduate student Timothy "Tank" Bragdon at bragdon@phys.uconn.edu .
