Creating and Detecting Cold Free-Radical Molecules
Univ. of Colorado and
Assoc. Fellow of JILA
Creating cold molecular samples will allow for an entire new class of experiments to be conducted from quantum chemical reaction studies to controlled collision experiments. However, there are large challenges in creating, cooling, and detecting relevant molecules. I will discuss the details of working with free-radical molecules.
