The 2006 Nobel Prize in Physics

This year, the Nobel prize in physics has been awarded to the observational comologists John Mather of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, and George Smoot of the University of California at Berkeley, CA. The talk will describe their work on the cosmic microwave background.
