Charged-Particle Confinement with Walls of Pure Energy

Reinhold Blumel

Wesleyan University

Material walls are no good when it comes to storing antimatter. But walls of pure energy do the job just fine. This talk discusses various schemes and devices for trapping and storage of charged matter and antimatter. The results of a Wesleyan undergraduate project in nonlinear dynamics of trapped charged particles are presented. Demos!
