Vector Meson Photo-production at Resonance Region

We review the current status of vector meson (ρ, ω, φ) photo-production theories at low energies, below a few GeV. We consider the possible production mechanisms, which will form the background production mechanisms for N* study. First we discuss the role of the nucleon resonances in the case of omega photo-production. Then we develop a model for rho meson photo-production based on tensor meson exchange, where the spin-2 properties of the tensor meson is explicitly considered to improve the current tensor meson exchange models, which is based on Pomeron-f identity. We also compare our results with the sigma meson exchange model for rho photo-production.
