Physics Entrepreneurship: A New Path for Graduate Study in Physics

Cyrus Taylor

Case Western Reserve University

Case Western Reserve University has pioneered the Physics Entrepreneurship Program: a two-year Master's Program that aims to provide training and real-world experience to students with a background in physics and a vision for new and growing ventures. The goal: physicists who are empowered as entrepreneurs, and who have the skills to start new high-tech businesses and grow them successfully. Now in its fourth year, the program has been widely recognized for its innovative character, and is serving as a model for similar programs in the other sciences.
