RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Aug 2007 - present Solid Earth Geophysics Research Group, University of Connecticut
Research Assistant
Carrying out research on inner core heterogeneity and deep earth scattering.
Sep 2005 - Dec 2006 Solid Earth Geophysics Research Group, University of Connecticut
Research Assistant
Researched heterogeneous structure near the Earth's inner core and outer core boundaries. Researched pseudospectral and spectral element SPECFEM forward modeling programs. Performed analysis of some real earthquake data downloaded from IRIS website.
Jun 2004 - Jul 2005 Structure Research Laboratory, University of Science and Technology of China
Undergraduate Researcher
Synthesized polycrystalline manganite samples FeCr2-xMnxS4 (0≤x≤0.1) using double doping method and evaluated the effects of Mn doping on the magnetic properties, resistivity, and magnetoresistance. Synthesized polycrystalline manganite samples Nd0.5(1-x)Ca0.5(1+x)Mn1-xTixO3 (0.01≤x≤0.10) and investigated their magnetic properties, stability, and charge ordering phases.
